Local context
Long Bay is one of Auckland's newest suburbs - a master-planned coastal development at the very top of the North Shore, sitting above Torbay and right next to Long Bay Regional Park. Most of it has gone up since the early 2010s under the Long Bay development, and it is a genuine mix: standalone homes, terraced housing and apartments, all built to modern spec with the town centre and village at its heart.
Because the housing is new, the kitchens are young - which changes the sort of work we do here. My home is new. Can you just upgrade the kitchen it came with?
Absolutely, and it is one of our most common Long Bay jobs. We remove the developer-standard cabinetry and benchtop and rebuild the kitchen in 2-pac or Melteca with a stone top, working around the parts of a near-new home you want left alone.
How long does the whole job take?
Once you approve the quote and final design, we can usually have your kitchen made in our workshop and installed within 5 to 7 days. We will confirm exact dates once we have measured on site.
How do you keep the price down?
We manufacture in our own East Tamaki workshop and there is no showroom and no subcontractor markup. As a Laminex NZ fabricator we buy materials at trade and pass that on, so you get a better-built kitchen for less than a showroom quote.
Can you build a scullery or butler's pantry?
Yes - that is a big part of what we do in the larger Long Bay homes. We design the scullery around your main kitchen with extra cabinetry, a second sink and storage for appliances, so the main bench stays clear.
What benchtops and finishes can I choose from?
Engineered stone, laminate and timber benchtops, with 2-pac painted or Melteca cabinetry in any colour or finish. Coastal whites, soft greys and timber tones are popular in Long Bay, and our 3D designer lets you try combinations before you commit.
